We are loving our zoo membership! We try to go often, even if it’s for an hour.  We already have somewhat of an order we see the animals and exhibits in, based on Canyon’s interest and attention span.  SO…we generally see the elephants first.  They are large and in charge and Canyon is quite captivated by them and a little timid. Rightfully so.  They are HUGE!

As a side note…we have a book at home “Everyone Poops” [some may not approve, but come on, we all do it], which Canyon loves to read.  This is good as we are attempting potty training.  So in the book it points out mice have little poop, ELEPHANTS have BIG POOP. True. Canyon really has grasped this concept. So now, when we talk about or see the elephants…at some point everytime, it’s pointed out by Canyon that elephants have “Poo-poo, BIG!” and then always giggles.  So the potty-talk begins!
